About a dozen years ago in a motel in Montreal or perhaps in Ottawa, he touched your arm and said that he was looking for a room for the night. He spoke non-stop, and you became witness to his distress, the recipient of his dreams as he unburdened his heart. And now he’s taking your hand. He looks at you, he loves you, he’s looking for an angel in the midst of this madness and you are there as is the rain, the rain, the rain.

In this violent scream of humanity propelled forward by Sébastien Ricard, the dialogue and the writing are raw and direct. Brigitte Haentjens, who has long had an affinity with Koltès, is driven by a pressing desire to once again give voice to this extremely contemporary text.
