Djennie Laguerre is of Haitian origin and studied in Ottawa. She lives in Toronto where she works as an actress and writer and has performed in several plays, including a solo piece at Théâtre français de Toronto. The tale she is presenting is a story of the emotional upheaval experienced by two sisters as they confront their origins during a journey to the homeland to bury a father they barely knew. An emotional piece rich in dance and humour.

Opening act: Aurore Alessandra
Aurore Alessandra hails from the island of Réunion, and has brought along in her baggage stories from the Indian Ocean. She is part of the collective that presented De retour après la pause at the Quatrième salle in 2011. Her stories are accompanied by music and peppered with charming tirades in the local Creole. An exotic evening.
