Abigail Richardson

Abigail Richardson-Schulte was born in Oxford, England and raised in Calgary, Alberta. Among her musical accomplishments are her Doctorate degree from University of Toronto, the Karen Kieser Prize, a Dora Award for Best New Opera, and the UNESCO International Rostrum of Composers. 

She has served as Affiliate Composer for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and Coordinator of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra's New Creations Festival. Abigail Richardson's orchestral score for Roch Carrier’s The Hockey Sweater has been heard by over 45,000 children and adults. She is currently the Composer-in-Residence with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra.
