At just 15 and 16-years-old, Brighid Fry and Pascale Padilla are multi-instrumentalist songwriters turning heads with their mature and unforgettable songs which are driven by a mixture of sweet harmonies and belted refrains, acoustic shimmer and electric crunch. Their newest releases have had regular play on CBC, were used in the soundtracks for film and which have broken through on U.S radio, including NPR.
Moscow Apartment have also made a name for themselves as a stellar live performers. They have opened for some of the biggest names in Canadian music (The Good Lovelies, Lowest of the Low, The East Pointers, Born Ruffians, Ben Caplan) and continue to drop singles in the lead up to their sophomore EP sue to be released in late Spring 2019 on Hidden Pony Records.
Songwriting workshop with Moscow Apartment
The NAC and Girls+ Rock Ottawa present a songwriting workshop with Moscow Apartment. During this workshop, Brighid and Pascale from Moscow Apartment will walk you through their songwriting process then help you get creative and do a little songwriting yourselves! This program is open to women, two-spirit, non-binary, trans and gender non-conforming folk of all ages. No experience necessary.

Lia Pappas-Kemps is an up-and-coming singer/songwriter born and raised in Toronto. Her music is a sweet balance between folk and rock with inspiration taken from jazz. With blunt lyrics influenced by Joni Mitchell, and complimentary guitar playing which came from her love for John Mayer, her music connects to audiences of all ages.
