Announces auditions for the following vacancies:

Section Violin

(4 tenure-track positions)
effective the 2022-2023 Season or earliest availability

National auditions will be held by recorded submissions on May 25, 2022
Candidates advancing to a second round will be required to travel to Ottawa for in-person auditions on
June 29, 2022

National auditions are open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada only.

Season: 46 weeks including concerts, broadcasts, opera, ballet, recordings, tours and 5 weeks paid vacation

Salary:   Minimum scale, 2021-2022: $2,018.00 per week

Application deadline: May 19, 2022

Audition Repertoire

SOLOS

One movement of a Bach Violin solo Sonata or Partita
1st movement of a Mozart violin concerto (3, 4, or 5) with cadenza
Exposition of 1st movement of a standard violin concerto

Please bring the piano part for the concertos as an accompanist is provided.
