CANADA’S NATIONAL ARTS CENTRE ORCHESTRA

Announces auditions for the following vacancies:

PRINCIPAL BASS

effective the 2022-2023 Season or earliest availability

National auditions will be held by recorded submissions on January 10, 2022
Candidates advancing to a second round will be required to travel to Ottawa for in-person auditions on
February 15-17, 2022

National auditions are open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada only.

A candidate for Principal Bass may be offered the vacant Assistant Principal Bass position.  

Season: 46 weeks including concerts, broadcasts, opera, ballet, recordings, tours and 5 weeks paid vacation

Salary: Minimum scale, 2021-2022: $2,018 per week (salary for this position to be negotiated)

The members of the National Arts Centre Orchestra are Canadian members of the American Federation of Musicians.
