Don has had his national comedy specials on both CBC and CTV television, has performed at festivals and comedy clubs across North America, and on CBC’s Laugh Out Loud and The Debaters. In addition, Don hosted the hit television series Fish Out of Water on APTN for four seasons and currently hosts APTN’s Crazy like a Lynx. In 2022, Don became the first Indigenous comedian to headline Massey Hall in Toronto on New Year’s Eve. Don is an Anishinaabe citizen of the Ojibways of Onigaming First Nation in Treaty #3 territory.
Janelle Niles is a Black—Mi'kmaq woman from Sipekne'katik, Nova Scotia. Her comedy career began in Ottawa, Ontario, and continues with the Indigenous comedy show Got Land?. Janelle has presented her eccentric and captivating humour at Just For Laughs, JFL42, CBC Gem's New Wave Of Standup, Crackup and Arctic comedy festivals, and APTN's Indigenous Day Live 2022.
Nicole is an Inuk stand-up comedian from Iqaluit, Nunavut. Nicole was featured on and hosted the Arctic Comedy Festival for three years. Known for her positive energy as an MC, Nicole provided her vibrant humour to venues across Ontario with the Crackup comedy festival. In addition, she has been showcased in Toronto for Just for Laughs and headlined an all-Indigenous women's show in Vancouver with IndigE-Girl Comedy.
Vance Banzo is an award-winning actor and comedian based in Toronto. His sketch troupe, Tallboyz II Men, was a featured part of the OFF-Just For Laughs Festival. An alum of the Humber School of Comedy, he can be seen recently on The Beaverton. Banzo is a band member of Fishing Lake First Nation, Saskatchewan. Indian Horse (2017) is his feature film debut.
Denise B Mcleod (D.B.) is a proud Urban Anishinaabe Kwe whose home territory is Sagamok Anishnawbek F.N. on the north shore of Lake Huron. She created Manifest Destiny’s Child Comedy Collective (MDC) alongside her comedy sisters. While with MDC, she has taken the stage for The Toronto International Film Festival, the Royal Ontario Museum’s Friday Night Live, and the Art Gallery of Ontario’s First Thursdays. D.B. also performed at Yas Kween’s 4th Anniversary as a part of the Comedy is Art Festival. Her comedy is rooted in her Indigeneity and focuses on making fun of colonization, misogyny, and racism. Just enough to make white men uncomfortable.
