GYROKINESIS® for all abilities

Liz Winkelaar is Artistic Associate and dancer with the integrated dance company, Propeller Dance. She has studied Gyrokinesis with Siôned Watkins here in Ottawa and with Dana Gingras in Montreal. She is happy to share a movement practice that has enhanced both her dancing and her general well-being.  

Dancer, choreographer and teacher, Siôned is a vibrant member of the Canadian dance community. A graduate of École de danse contemporaine de Montréal Sioned has performed in over 11 countries. She spent nine years in Daniel Desnoyer’s company, Le Carré Des Lombes as well as dancing for Sarah Williams and companies Bouge de là and Animals of Distinction. She has been an outreach coordinator and Associate Producer for the Canada Dance Festival and most recently has choreographed elements for the Governor General Performing Arts Awards. Siôned is a part time Professor for the University of Ottawa Theatre department and the Education Associate and Teaching Artist for NAC Dance.
