  Arin Sarkissian, 22, is a Master of Music candidate at The Colburn School, studying with flutist Jim Walker. Arin was named a 2022 Yamaha Young Artist Performance Competition Winner, won 1st Prize and Stringray Audience Choice at the 2020 Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal Concours, and 3rd Prize in the 2020 National Flute Association Young Artist Competition. In recent summers, he has performed with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada and was a 2021 Flute Fellow at the Music Academy of the West summer festival.

  Arin performs on a Haynes Custom flute and works with Cynthia Kelley as his primary instrument technician. He recently graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music with Distinction in Research and Creative Works, studying under the professorship of Leone Buyse.

  Arin Sarkissian, 22 ans, est étudiant à la maîtrise en musique à l’École Colburn, auprès du flûtiste Jim Walker. Il est lauréat de l’édition 2022 du concours Yamaha’s Young Performing Artist. En 2020, il a remporté le premier prix et le prix Stin[BM1] gray – Choix du public au Concours de l’Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, ainsi que le troisième prix du Concours des jeunes artistes de l’Association nationale de la flûte. Au cours des derniers étés, il s’est produit avec l’Orchestre national des jeunes du Canada et a été boursier de l’édition 2021 du festival d’été de l’Académie de musique de l’Ouest.

  Arin Sarkissian se produit sur scène avec une flûte Haynes, et Cynthia Kelley est sa principale technicienne en instrument. Il a récemment obtenu un baccalauréat en musique, interprétation à la flûte, de l’École de musique Shepherd de l’Université Rice, avec distinction en recherche et création, auprès de Leone Buyse.
