Name : Bria
Age : 12 years old
Listening Habits: I listen to the radio every morning. Mainly Radio Canada, or CBC radio if I'm with my English-speaking father. I also listen to music on my iPad while I do my homework. Music helps me concentrate and makes my tasks more fun!
Musical personality: I like all kinds of music, especially pop music. Most of the songs I listen to are from the 90s or 2000s. I also like older songs such as La bohème and La vie en rose by Edith Piaf and Mon mec à moi by Patricia Kaas.
Other sound characteristics: My family is very musical. My brother plays guitar and I play the piano. My father once played in a band with my uncle, so I'm very used to hearing melodies at home!

Age : 11 years old
Listening habits: I listen to the radio in my dad's car, but do not have one in my house. I listen to podcasts in my dad's car too and listen to music basically only when I want to learn the lyrics to the song or when I just really like that song.
Musical personality: I like to listen to pop and rap music. I like songs by Coleman Hell, the Jonas Brothers and I like (you might not know this) the Mandalorian Theme Song. A segment that I also really like is (again might not know this) Thousand dollars a minute.
Other sound characteristics: When I play games on my tablet, I don't turn on the volume because it distracts me. When I watch television shows, I generally listen with the volume on but sometimes when there are other people in the room I either turn the TV volume really low or mute it and just watch the subtitles.

Age : 13 years old
Listening habits: I don't listen to the radio much, I'm more likely to listen to the playlists I make on Spotify. I used to like the 96.5 FM channel that played rock classics, until the station changed the programming.
Musical personality: I like classic rock from the 60s and 70s. The bands of that era were very creative and had all kinds of special effects, like the Beatles with their song Revolution 9. It's almost entirely made up of sounds and distortions that transform what could have been a fairly mundane song into one of the most original in their catalog.
Other sound characteristics: Recently I have started to get into old comedy radio shows like the Goon show in England. That's how I discovered the soundman's job. These are people who manage to reproduce door creaks, falls, sword fights, etc. with quite ordinary objects.

Age : 14 ans
Listening Habits: I listen to the radio when I'm travelling by car. When I'm at home, I listen to a variety of podcasts and music while I stretch, workout, and do chores.
Musical personality: For music, I like a wide range of songs. K-pop being my most played, with artists that include BTS and Stray Kids, followed by an R&B artist, Frank Ocean. I also enjoy listening to jazz music for my alto saxophone lessons.
Other sound characteristics: I started playing piano since I was 5, and I have the RCM Grade 8 piano certificate. In 2018, I picked up the alto sax at my school. Since then, it has become my main instrument and I have played in various bands such as concert and jazz bands at Longfields Secondary School and at the OCDSB All-Star Jazz Band.

Listening Habits: I really enjoy listening to the radio. I usually listen to it in the car. After that, I like radio shows that have interesting facts that can appeal to people between the ages of 10 and 50.
Musical Personality: I especially like pop and a cappella music. Also, I like to listen to music with lyrics that are easy to learn and music that is fun to dance to.
Other sound characteristics: I have been playing the ukulele for four years now. This instrument inspires me because I find that there is a wide variety of songs that I can play that are easy to learn.

For Mélanie Dumont, the theatre is a fabulous playground! Since 2011 as associate artistic director of NAC French Theatre, Mélanie has focused on providing fantastic interdisciplinary spaces for audiences age 0 to 20 to flex their imaginations! A close associate of Brigitte Haentjens, she has acted as dramaturg for several of her productions, including Rome, Richard III and Dans la solitude des champs de coton, and also wrote Ce qui se trame, an overview of this important artist’s practice. Having developed close artistic links with Flemish creators over the years, Mélanie has collaborated on a number of Belgian projects, including Hush with the Zonzo company and the BIG BANG Festival.
