Got cabin fever?  Yukon has the cure!

When the nights are long and cold, Yukoners know that the surefire way to shake the blues is the Frostbite Sourdough Cabin Fever Cure: take some of the most energetic bands and musicians from Yukon, add a few friends, throw in some lights and sound, and shake well.

This year, the “Cure” is coming to Ottawa for Northern Scene! For one night only, legendary Yukon band Goin’ South re-groups, sharing the stage with Frostbite Music Festival favourites The Working Dogs, whose music intertwines elements of blues and smoky cabarets with working class melodies.

Singer-songwriter Manfred Janssen joins the fun with music that ranges from folk to blues, from country to rock’n’roll and never fails to please. He'll share the stage with The Blue Warblers, the duo of Kim Beggs and Natalie Edelson, who meld original and traditional sweet and savoury tunes, infused with old timey guitar, clawhammer banjo, hand-knee percussion, and rich harmonies. Gordie Tentrees, a talented musician who has toured the world in recent years, rounds out the bill.
