Chloé Breault

At Franky's Barn

Francophone Music Singer/Songwriter Folk
  • NAC Popular Music and Variety

  Mar 19, 2022 - 7 PM EDT

The sparkling Chloé Breault refreshes the pop world with her mischievous smile and her luminous voice. Her music film, recorded in Caraquet in a beautiful barn, is inspired by her most recent album, Plage des Morons. Chloé surprises with this funky project with a sharp sound and visual aesthetic. To do so, she surrounded herself with a fire team: Katrine Noël (Les Hay Babies) as artistic director, Jérôme Luc Paulin (Isjaki Studio) and Stéphane Lévesque (Showc14) as sound engineer and director. She is also joined by excellent musicians: Maxence Cormier and Mico Roy (Les Hôtesses d'Hilaire), Matt Boudreau, Tanya Brideau and Milène Robichaud. This show is a true audiovisual retro-trip where the Acadian artist reveals a part of her unexpected and authentic artistic personality.

The album Plage des Morons, released in October 2021, is both profound in its themes and light in its groovy musical style. The Acadian singer-songwriter tackles very intimate personal subjects such as her childhood, toxic relationships, the fear of moving on... Recipient of the Prix Rideau 2022 at the FrancoFête en Acadie, the album and its tracks are multi-nominated in professional awards and competitions such as ECMA 2022 (Nominations for Recording of the Year, Recording of the Year / Pop, Recording of the Year / Francophone); Prix Musique New Brunswick (Recipient of the Recording of the Year 2021 and Nomination for Song of the Year with “P’tits problèmes”), and the Trille Or (Nomination for Acadian Album of the Year 2021).
