- Zoom event
Sometimes as teachers we can feel isolated, and as professionals it can be hard to ask for feedback.
Leah Roseman has 30 years teaching violin to students of all ages and levels, and she regularly hires colleagues to lead masterclasses with her students, several times a year. Since the pandemic started, she started a small YouTube channel for her students, which now has more than 700 videos, aimed at violinists at all levels with both technical and mindset tips, and hundreds of demonstration videos of etudes, repertoire and more.
This set of two workshops will be with a small group of violin teachers, 3-6 people.
There are two components. You can attend one, the other, or both.
Part 1: Presentation and Question and Answer, May 1, 2021
Leah will present challenges she's faced over 30 years of teaching, with motivating students, helping them juggle their many other activities, and will address specific concerns you may have about how to teach various techniques and repertoire. This will be followed by an open discussion, where the teachers are invited to share their perspectives with each other.
Part 2: Private Zoom Masterclass, May 2, 2021
Priority will be given for at least one student of each teacher participating in the Saturday Workshop on May 1st to be able to perform and work with Leah in a masterclass setting. She will also try to keep the other students attending engaged with little tips to try within the Zoom meeting.
These events will be in English. Please pre-register.
