Ethnic Heritage Ensemble of Chicago founder Sir Kahil El’Zabar (multi-percussionist/composer/vocalist) has shared his elevating improvised soul music across the planet for over 45 years. From his experiences as the drummer for Nina Simone and working with Dizzy Gillespie and Stevie Wonder, to his work as the chairman of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians in the 1970s, he has spread his radical vision and talent with audiences across the globe, communing with them through the power of his ancient and futuristic music of the Mind and Heart!
