Miles Davis was one of the most important figures in jazz. His unique style of playing and composition, and his ability to bring out greatness in others provide lessons for us all.
In this program of cool and groovy music, featuring a sextet of musicians from the orchestra, we’ll explore the magical music of Miles Davis. The Ottawa Jazz Orchestra’s leader and basssist, Adrian Cho, will draw from his 2010 book, The Jazz Process: Collaboration, Innovation, and Agility, and talk about how the lessons we learn from Miles can be applied to almost any domain.
