Darren Hicks joined the Toronto Symphony Orchestra at the beginning of the 2018-2019 season as Associate Principal Bassoon. Mr. Hicks is a former student at Yale University and at the University of Ottawa, and in 2012, won the NAC Orchestra Bursary Award. In 2016, Mr. Hicks was named to the CBC’s “Hot 30 under 30” list of classical musicians.

In this public masterclass, Mr. Hicks will work with University of Ottawa bassoon students currently studying with Christopher Millard, Principal Bassoon with the NAC Orchestra and faculty at the University of Ottawa.
