Cuban-born Elizabeth Rodriguez and Magdelys Savigne of OKAN, lead an hour-long family-friendly and interactive workshop in which participants will explore Cuban rhythms through body percussion and singing along to some classic Cuban songs in Spanish. Taking their name from the word for heart or soul in the Afro-Cuban religion of Santeria, OKAN fuses these roots with jazz, folk and global rhythms in songs about immigration, bravery and love. This workshop is open to all. No experience necessary.
