Formed in Northern Ontario in 2016, Moskitto Bar combine a truly unique mix of Ukrainian, Balkan, Iraqi Middle-Eastern and French Celtic music.

Led by French, singer-accordionist Tangi Ropars, the project brings together Ukrainian Yura Rafaluik on hammered dulcimer, Iraqi singer-percussionist Ahmed Moneka, and Algerian violinist-vocalist Fethi Nadjem. Named after the ravenous Northern mosquitos that joyfully feasted on the band during their nascent rehearsals, Moskitto Bar have become a staple of Toronto’s thriving global music community.
