The buzz from his fledgling group lit up the social networks, growing exponentially as expectations soared for the release of their first album. Renowned musician/composer, John Zorn, described their music as “an emotional powerhouse” and recorded the album on his own label, Tzadik. The album sold like hotcakes, snapped up by a core of fans delighted by this musical omnivore’s fusion of all kinds of music. Perret burst into the jazzosphere as a saxophonist, playing solo and anchoring both mainstream and groundbreaking brass sections. He cut three albums with the accompaniment of a trail-blazing ensemble, recording tracks that opened up uncharted terrain. His latest solo album, entitled FREE was released in 2016 on the Kakoum Records label (Harmonia Mundi Distribution).
