Ron Hawkins may very well be Toronto's indie-rock poet laureate of the 90's. Regarded as one of Canada’s great, contemporary singer-songwriters, he cut his teeth as a founding member of seminal indie legends Lowest of the Low. Their 1991 debut, Shakespear My Butt, is regarded by many as one of the best Canadian albums of all time. Wry, keenly observational, and never lacking in humour, Ron Hawkins pens more than timeless Canadiana, he captures romance and grit of youthful rebellion.
