YAO’s Slam Poetry Party

featuring Joy (Belgium), Caylah (Madagascar), D-Track (Quebec)

In November 2016, Franco-Ontarian artist YAO took part in the 16th Francophonie Summit in Madagascar. As an invited guest of the ambassador of the project "Libres ensemble" by the International Organization of the Francophonie, YAO performed alongside two other vital slam artists: Joy (Belgium) and Caylah (Madagascar), in a one-off performance to kick-off the Summit.

Following this remarkable performance, Caylah, Joy and Yao decided to continue the collaboration, and have added a fourth artist, the Quebec rapper/slammer D-Track.

Celebrate the richness and diversity of the French language! From here and elsewhere, four young slam poets, each hailing from different French-speaking backgrounds, combine their skills and talent for a truly unique night of words and music.

Performance is approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes including intermission.
