Olga Kostritzky is a world-renowned teacher/ballet master. She served as a faculty member at the School of American Ballet. During her tenure at SAB, Kostritzky was a pioneer in creating The Boys Program. She has trained a vast amount of ballet dancers in her lifetime and many of her students have gone on to dance professionally. Kostritzky was the coach for Cambodian dancer Sokvannara Sar and was featured in the documentary film Dancing Across Borders produced by Anne Bass. She was also the ballet consultant and the coach for Natalie Portman and the ballet dancers in Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan, and also appeared in the film. Since 2009 she has been guest teacher/coach for the Novosibirsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre and the Moscow Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre. Kostritzky served as a ballet teacher/mistress for the acclaimed Morphoses, The Wheeldon Company, the Vail International Dance Festival and she worked for Benjamin Millepied at the Choreographic Institute in East Hampton, New York. She was a recipient of The Senate State of New York Award for her contribution to the arts and also received the Mae L. Wien Award for her distinguished service to the art of ballet and the 2012 Inspiration Award for Woman U.S.A.
