Performance is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes with no intermission.
Welcome to Starshit, a coffee house crowded with employee–disciples and devoted fans of the brand. As the lucky winners of the competition for best franchise location in the world, the employees are impatiently awaiting the arrival of the company’s founder. Meanwhile, they’re working extra hard to make sure everything is perfect—one day at a time, one coffee at a time.
An imaginative satire about blind corporate loyalty, Starshit takes a hard look at our performance-driven society. In this case, the characters aren’t scheming financiers but young employees making $10 an hour.
After presenting Sans pays in 2015, Théâtre du Tandem is back with this comedy about the not-so-ordinary lives of the men and women in customer service whom we meet every day.
