Since their formation in 2007, the Dakhká Khwáan Dancers have been inspiring and educating audiences young and old with their powerful blend of dance, music, and storytelling. By reclaiming their languages and traditional values through these time-honoured art forms, the group aims for cultural revitalization and social transformation within their communities.
Based in Whitehorse, the Dakhká Khwáan Dancers bring their energizing and beautiful performances to communities across Canada, representing the inland Tlingit communities and their connection to the soaring raven and eagle. Performances in Taiwan, New Zealand, and at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games have earned the group international acclaim.
