From her very first notes, Kellylee has audiences in the palm of her hand, with an energy and joie d’vivre that is full-bodied and fierce.

Her album Nina, a tribute to music legend Nina Simone, won Kellylee the 2011 JUNO Award for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year, and she has captivated audiences across Canada and France, opening for stars such as John Legend, George Benson, and Willy Nelson. She has released several albums of original songs along the way, and put her stamp on songs by hip-hop royalty like Eminem, Kanye West, and others.

This concert is part of Canada Scene’s free Scene@6 series. Running every evening at 6:00 from July 2 to 23, the series showcases this country’s top folk, roots, world, and jazz artists in the NAC’s new Atrium.
