Marking their 40th anniversary this year, New Brunswick’s legendary 1755 are icons of modern Acadian culture who meld country and rock with traditional folks lyrics, influencing Acadian artists both past and present. Singer-songwriter Caroline Savoie seduces her audiences with songs inspired by everyday life and conveyed by the unique timbre of her warm and soulful voice – sometimes delicate, sometimes powerful.
Also from New Brunswick, Samantha Robichaud is a lively performer, composer, and recording artist whose plucky irreverence, wit, and charm have won over audiences throughout North America and beyond. And members of PEI’s high-energy band Gadelle represent the spirit of the Acadian people with their fiddling, songs, stories, and dance in every performance.
