Just For Laughs is thrilled to announce that Scottish comedian, actor, director, author and beloved television host Craig Ferguson will return to Ottawa this fall with his brand-new stand-up show – The New Deal Tour.

Prior to stepping down as the host of CBS’s The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson in 2014, Glasgow-born Craig Ferguson set all-time viewer records with the show in the nine years he was on air. He won his first Emmy nomination in 2006, and received the 2009 Peabody Award for Excellence in Broadcasting for his interview with Archbishop Desmond Tutu. He hosted the White House Correspondents Dinner in 2008, and has lent his voice to character “Gobber” in the animated franchise How to Train Your Dragon.

A huge success on the North American comedy circuit, Ferguson sold out both Carnegie Hall in 2010 and Radio City Music Hall in 2012. He also has three widely acclaimed stand-up comedy specials: A Wee Bit O’ Revolution, Does This Need To Be Said?, and his most recent release I’m Here to Help, which garnered him a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album in 2014.

In 2009, Harper Collins published his New York Times bestselling memoir America On Purpose, following his first novel Between the Bridge and the River, which he penned in 2006.

Ferguson is a Just For Laughs Festival favourite, and he’s even hosted Montreal’s prestigious Galas to critical acclaim on three separate occasions. Don’t miss your chance to see this stand-up powerhouse LIVE as he showcases the talent that made him a household name!

“Ferguson was on fire… and [gets] the honours for the best joke [at the Festival].”
-    Bill Brownstein, Montreal Gazette (2011)
