Fourth Stage,1 Elgin Street,Ottawa,CanadaJoey Robin Haché, a native of Nigadoo, New Brunswick, is quickly becoming one of the rising young stars of Acadian music. Joey has several strings to his bow. Not only is he a singer-songwriter, but also a painter, cartoonist, caricaturist, poet and radio host. In June 2012, Joey's performance at the Petite-Vallée Song Festival gave a real boost to his career as a musician. In November 2014, he released his first album, Repaver l’âme, for which he received several nominations and prizes, at events like the Music NB Awards Gala, the Gala de la chanson de Caraquet and the upcoming East Coast Music Association Awards. In 2015, he also performed at the 47th Granby International Song Festival, where he qualified as a semi-finalist and won three prizes, including the one for best stage presence.
His album, Repaver l’âme, has a folk-rock sound, and his voice is reminiscent of Dédé Fortin’s. The lyrics, suffused with Acadian atmosphere, transport us to his native land.
