Blinded by smallpox at the age of eighteen, Turlough O’Carolan, 1670-1738, lived his life on the road as an itinerant musician in 18^th Century Ireland. A lad reported to be of scant musical talent, O’Carolan rose to fame as one of the most popular composers of his generation. Tellers Kim Kilpatrick and Emily Pearlman with harpist Lucile Brais Hildesheim unravel the mystery behind this miraculous musical tale – just in time for Christmas.
