Dancing with live music, explore the technique of contemporary dance; moving, stretching, using space, spinning and jumping. Learn a short dance; have fun with steps and gestures, to dance is to perform…on an amazing stage.

Hip Hop GROOVES with Julia Gutsik from Luv2Groove
Featuring a variety of funky music old and new, participants will get lost in movement while interacting, building self-esteem and expressing their creative minds. Get ready to learn some cool moves in a safe and supportive environment! Guaranteed to get your child moving, grooving and having FUN!

African Kizomba with Lynnette Adeline
Capital Kizomba organizes classes and socials for the Angolan dance called 'Kizomba'. Kizomba is a mix of traditional Angolan semba with kilapanda, zouk and merengue. It has taken Europe by storm and has now made its way to North America where its popularity has grown exponentially! Join us in discovering this beautiful dance!

1980s Dance Aerobics with Dance 101 teaching artist Sioned Watkins
Come out and have fun with Dance 101 and NAC teaching artist, Sioned Watkins. We will learn a simple choreography inspired by 80s dance aerobics.  Please feel free to dress up in your favourite 80s work out gear!
 


Live Band Karaoke

Fourth Stage
You’re the star in this version of karaoke where you’ll be accompanied by a live band of top-notch Ottawa musicians! Choose your favourite selection of jazz standards, musical theatre hits, rock classics, old favorites or kids’ tunes and sing your heart out in the cozy atmosphere of the Fourth Stage cabaret.

Experience the delights of dance and clowning in the company of the artists Brice Noeser and Estelle Clareton. Take part is a series of simple (yet quite complicated!) exercises that involve unusual and comical choreography and playing with rhythms, not to mention listening skills and being open to the moment. Bring your clown nose!
