National Creation Fund - Our First Annual Report

We are delighted to share with you the National Creation Fund’s Annual Report.  In our first year of operation, the Fund invested a total of almost $3 million in 19 bold and ambitious projects in Music, Theatre, Dance and Interdisciplinary Performing Arts – among the most exciting works being produced in Canada today.

These 19 projects were chosen from the 127 submitted in the Fund’s first year.  As you can read in our report, the Fund’s reach is truly national, with projects received from every region of the country.

2019 promises to be an exciting year, as Fund projects premiere and tour to cities across Canada and around the world.  If you haven’t already done so, we encourage you to sign up for our newsletter to stay up-to-date on our latest and ongoing investments.

The Fund would like to thank its generous donors from across Canada who fuel this initiative, as well as the national and international funders and partners of these projects – most notably the Canada Council for the Arts, Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and the Luminato Festival.  Together, we’re helping Canadian artists create compelling, ambitious and fully realized new work.
