Nathalie Derome

Since the 1980s, Nathalie Derome has been enchanting us with her solo performances and colourful shows combining songs, personal stories, and ingenious music (Le retour du refoulé, Du temps d’antennes, Les écoutilles). Founding artistic director of the multidisciplinary company Des mots d’la dynamite, she wrote her first play for very young children, Le spectacle de l’arbre, in 2006. It was such a hit with that lively demographic that she went on to create Là où j’habite, then Magie lente, all presented at the NAC. From wool to everyday objects to clay, this artist has a knack for bringing raw materials to life on stage.
