Ingi Garðar Erlendsson

Ingi Garðar Erlendsson is an Icelandic composer, trombonist (multi-instrumentalist), arranger, music teacher and brass repairman. He studied composition with the composers Yannis Kyriakides and Gilius van Bergeijk at the Royal Conservatory in Den Haag, from 2006-2009 and completed the Sonology course at the same institute from 2009-2010. His works have been performed internationally on various occasions worldwide. Ingi Garðar has performed, recorded and toured the world over with an impressive roster of Icelandic bands, including Sigur Rós, múm, Benni Hemm Hemm, Of Monsters and Men, Stórsveit Nix Noltes, Aton,  SJS Big Band, Valdimar, Kristín Anna Valtýsdóttir (Kría Brekkan), Sin Fang, Kippi Kanínus and  Borko. He has also worked with composers such as Charles Ross, Robert Ashley, Christian Wolff  and Alvin Lucier. Ingi Garðar is a member of the composers collective S.L.Á.T.U.R. (Society of artistically obtrusive composers around Reykjavík.)
