Guillaume Corbeil

Guillaume Corbeil attended law school for a few hours, then ditched that plan in favour of a master’s degree in creative writing from the Université du Québec à Montréal, where he first began to investigate the recurrent theme of his plays, Nous voir nous: Cinq visages pour Camille Brunelle (presented at the NAC in 2014), Tu iras la chercher and Unité modèle: the fluid boundary between fact and fiction in literature and in our social lives. His pen is as versatile as it is brilliant and ironic: he has written a collection of short stories (L’art de la fugue), a novel (Pleurer comme dans les films), a biography (Brassard) and a book of contemporary fairy tales (Trois princesses).
