When Douglas Eide joined the NAC in 1986 as an Electronic Engineering Technologist, he began working backstage on everything from lighting systems, to stage systems, to ensuring that the curtain goes up every night.

His interest in computer technology allowed him to move to a new role as the NAC’s Information Technology Specialist in 1999. In 2003 he was named Manager of the newly formed Information Technology Services team. And in 2009 he was appointed Director, Information Technology and Administrative Services.

A believer in life-long learning, Mr. Eide holds two industry standard certifications from Cisco; Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP). He also holds Associate Level certificates in Business Analysis and Information Technology Project Management as recognized by McMaster University. And he is currently pursuing a Master Level certificate in Information Technology Project Management.
