Opening for Colin James: Liam Titcomb

A true standard-bearer of Canadian rock with an excellent reputation on the international scene, guitarist Colin James has a mantel full of JUNOs and Maple Blues Awards, and a collection of gold certified albums proudly displayed on his walls. Each of his frequent Festival performances is an event in itself, as he proved with last year's remarkable acoustic concert, presented as a duet with Chris Caddell. The fret-board ace returns to share music from his latest album fifteen, the 15th in a 25-year career.

From the prairies of Saskatchewan to sharing the stage with arguably the greatest and most influential guitarists of all time, Colin James still remembers those words of advice given to him by the late, great, Stevie Ray Vaughan. “I’m opening doors for you, just walk through them.”
For every young guitar player growing up in a small town, Colin James’ story is their story – one of drive, passion, ambition and a strong sense that their destiny lay beyond the safe confines of home.
Looking back on a career that now spans two decades, Colin has walked through more than just a few doors to reach the level of success that he enjoys today. He continues to record the music that he loves, has sold multi-platinum many times over, and his concert tours continue to sell out coast to coast.

Colin will be performing with his seven-piece band, and along with selections from his new CD, Fifteen, he will play hits from his vast repertoire, including Into The Mystic, Why’d You Lie, Man’s Gotta Be A Stone, and many more from his fourteen previous albums.
