Why can't I pick specific seats?
- Current subscribers' seats are guaranteed until the renewal deadline.
- After the renewal deadline all unrenewed seats will be released for sale.
- Orders we receive up until the renewal deadline will be allocated seats by date of arrival after the renewal deadline.
Why can't I find out where I will be seated?

When and how will I receive my tickets?
- The NAC Box Office will mail subscription tickets over the summer months.
- Two weeks prior to the first performances the tickets will no longer be mailed, and instead will be held for pick up.
- Your Add On tickets will not be mailed at the same time as your subscription tickets. They will be mailed separately.
Why do I have to pay now when I don't know if I will receive the seats I asked for?
- Subscription orders are accepted with full payment. If we are unable to fill your order according to your instructions we will substitute the best available seats. You will be refunded any difference in price.
- If you are unhappy with your seats we will be happy to try and relocate you.
- If we are unable to find you satisfactory seats you may request a full refund.
Why do I have to pay now if I will not receive my tickets until the summer or fall?
- Current subscribers' seats are guaranteed until the renewal deadline. After the renewal deadline all unrenewed seats will be released for sale.
- In the meantime we are taking orders and these will be allocated seats by date of arrival after the renewal deadline.
- The sooner you place your order the better the seating selection will be.
Does the price include tax?
- All prices include all applicable taxes and facility fees.
Do I pay a service charge or a fee when I buy a subscription?
- There are no service charges when purchasing subscriptions.
Is there a service charge for subscribing on line?
- There are no service charges when purchasing subscriptions on line.
Should I be worried about giving my credit card number on line?
- The NAC website is a secure site.
- The personal information that you voluntarily provide to the National Arts Centre is protected under the provisions of Canada's federal privacy legislations.
- Depending on the nature of the transaction, the NAC generally collects, your name, address (post and electronic), telephone number and payment information related to ticket purchases, subscriptions, donations, newsletters and information mailings.
- Your personal information is not shared, rented, exchanged or otherwise disclosed to any outside third party except where authorized and or required by law.
Why can't I pick different nights for each of the performances in a series?
- Subscription "series" are set up so that we can, as often as possible, allocate subscribers the same seats for each performance.
- You may "Create Your Own" subscription package if you would like different nights for some of the performances in a series.
What do I do if I cannot attend one of the shows in a series?
- Thanks to our flexible exchange policy, unexpected changes to your schedule are not a problem!
- You may exchange your subscription tickets in person at the NAC Box Office, by fax to 613- 947-7112, (photocopy your tickets and include your credit card number) or by mail up until 21:00 on the business day prior to the performance you cannot attend.
- You may exchange your ticket for another NAC Orchestra, English Theatre, French Theatre or Dance subscription performances within the same subscription season (subject to availability).
- NAC Box Office hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:00 to 21:00.
Please note:
- If you exchange to another performance within the same discipline you will receive your subscriber discount. If you exchange to a performance in a different discipline, you will receive a 10% discount.
- If the performance you exchange your tickets for is more expensive, you will be required to pay the difference; if it is less expensive, you will be reimbursed the difference with an exchange voucher. Exchange vouchers must be redeemed within one year of the date of issue at the NAC Box Office only for performance tickets.
- As all subscription sales are final, we cannot provide cash refunds.
When can I exchange my tickets?
- You may exchange your subscription tickets up until 21:00 on the business day prior to the performance you cannot attend.
- NAC Box Office hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:00 to 21:00.
How can I exchange my tickets?

What do I do if I lose my tickets?
- If you lose your subscription tickets simply call the NAC Box Office at 613-947-7000, extension 620 to obtain an entry pass, which will be held for you at the Box Office for pick up.
- If you realize that you no longer have your ticket only when you arrive for the performance, go directly to the Box Office to obtain your pass.
- In both cases you will be asked to show proof of identity.
What seating options does the NAC have for patrons in wheelchairs and for the disabled?
- The NAC is fully accessible.
- Special tickets are available for those patrons in wheelchairs. If a customer remains in his/her wheelchair for a performance, the ticket price will be that of the least expensive price range in the hall. If a wheelchair-bound patron wishes to transfer from the wheelchair to an actual seat, they will be sold a specific wheelchair location at the regular price.

Does the NAC offer hearing devices for patrons with impaired hearing?
- The NAC has a Phonic Ear Wireless FM Sound System for patrons with impaired hearing.
- FM (Frequency Modulation) receivers and several accessories such as a headset for use without a hearing aid, a teleloop and a Cochlea Implant Patch Cord are available, free of charge from the Communication Centre, located near the Theatre Checkroom.
- Patrons are required to leave a piece of identification.
May I bring my infant to the performances?
- "Babes in Arms" tickets are available for children under two years of age for "children" shows only! These tickets have no seat location indicated on them thereby permit a child to sit on a parent's lap.
- "Babes in Arms" tickets are the price of the lowest ticket sold in the hall for a particular event.
- If a child is using a seat, he or she will need a regular ticket.
- For events other than childrens' shows, ALL patrons will need a regular ticket.
