On Saturday, September 19, the 2015 National Arts Centre Gala featured world renowned pianist Lang Lang and the NAC Orchestra – under the leadership of its new Music Director Alexander Shelley – raising a record-breaking $1,005,000 in support of the NAC’s National Youth and Education Trust which benefits performing arts education programs across Canada.

The NAC Gala was made possible by the tireless dedication of its organizing committee, led by its Honorary Chair Laureen Harper and by Chair Gary Zed. The NAC is grateful to Presenting Sponsor CIBC for their ongoing partnership with the NAC Gala and for the generosity of Honorary Patrons Bonnie and John Buhler.

A special thanks to NAC Foundation board member Dianne Kipnes and husband Irv who rounded the Gala proceeds to $1 million at the end of the spectacular evening, and to Gary Zed who increased his support by $5,000 to secure the record-breaking total.

Other Gala sponsors include Associate Sponsor Shaw Communications Inc., and Major Sponsor SNC-Lavalin Inc., EY, Emond Harnden LLP, Mizrahi Corporation, Quebecor, Mark Motors Audi, The Ottawa Citizen and LeDroit.

Join more than 6,500 champions of performance, creation and learning by supporting Canadian artists, educators and students through the NAC Foundation.
