NAC Presents, in partnership with BMO Financial Group, is the newest programming stream at Canada’s National Arts Centre. The all-Canadian concert series showcases both legendary and emerging Canadian artists in contemporary music on the national stage.

On Thursday, April 24, BMO Financial Group, title sponsor, hosted a group of clients at a much anticipated concert by Canadian jazz legend Oliver Jones. Thirty guests enjoyed cocktails before the concert and at intermission in the stylish Theatre Lounge.

After enjoying the jazz superstar’s riveting music in the National Arts Centre Studio, BMO hosts Chris Booth (Vice-President Commercial Banking Ottawa Area), Ron Canie (Vice-President Commercial Banking Ottawa Suburban and Seaway Area) and Chris Costain (Vice-President Commercial Banking Ottawa Valley and Agri Area) and their lucky guests were escorted backstage to meet the legend himself. Oliver Jones, always gracious, took photos and signed autographs for his fans, who happily took home his CD, Just For My Lady, courtesy of BMO. Guests were then treated to a rendition of a Schubert sonata by acclaimed bass player Éric Lagacé, and a backstage tour where the group appreciated the National Arts Centre’s extensive photo collection of past and present artistic greats.

The National Arts Centre Foundation sincerely thanks BMO Financial Group for their generous support of NAC Presents and the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards Gala.
