Almost six years after the launch of his debut album À côté d’la track, David Marin returned with Le choix de l’embarras, released last October on the Simone Records label and featuring the catchy lead single “Le vent vire.”

“When things go wrong, when things fall through, I just want to dive right in and see if there might not be a stepladder in there I can use to haul my morale back up above seasonal averages and disappointing days.”

Over a solid folk base, “Le vent vire” (“The Wind is Changing”) layers catchy rhythms and a chorus that whispers in our ears with irrepressible optimism. It’s a feel-good song from a long-awaited album, once again produced by Louis-Jean Cormier. Together, Marin and Cormier invite us to discover a powerful, thought-provoking, and refreshingly vigorous repertoire.
