Among the glories of Vienna’s music are chamber music masterpieces by Mozart and Beethoven. As part of our Festival, there are three such masterworks you can savour: One of Beethoven’s compelling “Razumovsky” quartets (there were 3 total); Mozart’s “Dissonance” Quartet, with one of his most splendid slow movements; and his engaging Divertimento.
Performing this music in the stunning Auditorium of the National Gallery is the Calidore String Quartet (“a miracle of unified thought.” ~ La Presse), known for their fiery brilliance, tangible energy, and captivating performances.
