Over the years, the NAC Orchestra and Maestro Zukerman have developed a special fondness for the compositions of Johannes Brahms and devote an entire program to the masterful composer’s works. International operatic superstar Michelle DeYoung joins the Ottawa Festival Chorus and the Orchestra to perform the Alto Rhapsody, a profound work depicting a soul seeking spiritual guidance.  Legendary pianist Yefim Bronfman joins the Orchestra for Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 1, a technical tour-de-force with astonishing grandeur.  Eric Friesen leads a lively conversation with our soloists during the first half of the program.

“One of the greatest pianists I have ever worked with – chamber or solo. He’s an all-around wonderful artist and friend.” - Pinchas Zukerman

Please note, the on-stage conversation between host Eric Friesen and our soloists will be presented in English only.
