A Circumpolar Soundscape brings together four distinct, creative and highly acclaimed female Aboriginal artists from across the North, in an evening of contemporary song that paints a vivid and highly entertaining musical portrait of a shared heritage.

A passionate, soulful performer, Dene singer-songwriter Leela Gilday (NWT) has won numerous national awards including a JUNO and a Western Canadian Music Award. Multitalented Sylvia Cloutier from Nunavut (via Nunavik) is a captivating throat singer and drum dancer celebrated for her unique creative voice. Diyet, born and raised in Burwash Landing, Yukon, is a classically-trained singer whose powerhouse voice beautifully conveys the upbeat soulfulness of her original music. Nive Nielsen is a ukulele-wielding Inuk artist hailing from Greenland with songs that are straight out of a storybook that never was.
