From April 25 to May 4, 2013, Canada’s National Arts Centre will present Northern Scene, the sixth in a series of national Scene festivals celebrating and showcasing our country’s finest established and emerging artists. Northern Scene will invite more than 200 artists from Yukon, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Nunavik, and Nunatsiavut to take over the nation’s capital. Musicians, actors, dancers, writers, visual and media artists, filmmakers, storytellers, and chefs will bring their unique talents to audiences throughout the region – a virtual Northern invasion!
The Magnetic North Theatre Festival is the premiere festival of new Canadian theatre. Like the Magnetic North Pole itself, the festival moves around the country, treating Canadians to excellence in English theatre from across Canada. Magnetic North gives us the opportunity to share our stories, to interpret our history and our times, and to explore how we see the world.

Zones Théâtrales is a biennial festival whose mandate is to provide a showcase for professional theatre from francophone communities throughout Canada and the Quebec regions. A rendezvous for the creators and supporters of French-language theatre, the event is also an opportunity to promote public awareness of the work of francophone theatre artists in this country.
