“The dancing itself is the event. Sarabande’s choreography has Millepied’s signature loose, nonchalant edge… Millepied has the cool factor.”” Laura Cappelle, The Financial Times (London), December 19, 2011

Considered a national treasure of France, Lyon Opera Ballet has become one of the world's foremost contemporary dance companies under the visionary guidance of Artistic Director Yorgos Loukos.

This evening of mixed repertoire features the exuberant neo-classical Sarabande by acclaimed dancer-choreographer Benjamin Millepied (Black Swan). Set to the music of J. S. Bach, Millepied creates high-energy pyrotechnics and thrilling competitiveness among four male dancers, each of whom carves out a distinct onstage personality. A bright quartet filled with seemingly effortless lifts and mile-a-minute leaps.

This program also includes William Forsythe’s breathtaking Steptext and Rachid Ouramdane's dynamic Tout Autour.
