Alice is truly eye-popping - an unquestionable high point of the season. Don’t miss its only Canadian performances outside Toronto! Suitable for all ages

Co-production: The National Ballet of Canada | The Royal Ballet (UK)
Featuring the National Arts Centre Orchestra

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is wildly inventive and outrageously entertaining – an instant 21st-century ballet classic. Maclean’s wrote, “While wholly embracing classical ballet, this pop extravaganza uses cinematic projection, puppetry, tap dancing and a kaleidoscope of optical tricks to conjure the story’s psychedelic contortions.”

British choreographer Christopher Wheeldon, inspired by Lewis Carroll’s iconic 1865 novel, brings a fresh, subversive touch to the tale while preserving its surreal vignettes and much-beloved eccentric characters. Witty choreography, extraordinary design by Bob Cowley and Natasha Katz, and a shimmering dreamlike score by Joby Talbot – it’s dazzlingly over-the-top family-friendly theatrical magic. No wonder it’s an international smash hit!

This presentation of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by The National Ballet of Canada at the National Arts Centre is made possible with support from Jerry and Joan Lozinski and The Honourable Margaret McCain, C.C.
