- Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 1
- Stravinsky Firebird Suite (1945)
This night at the symphony promises a spectacular experience as you savour music by two remarkable geniuses, who put their names on the musical map in unique ways. Beethoven built his reputation as a composer and piano virtuoso soloing in his own brilliant concertos; Igor Stravinsky gained international fame from his Firebird ballet, which stirs the imagination with an exotic fairy tale painted in dazzling orchestral colours.
Music Director Designate Alexander Shelley conducts the orchestra—and you—in this musical adventure.
