Ms. Valente is one of the world's best vocal instructors in chamber music. She was the 1999 recipient of Chamber Music America's highest award: The Richard J. Bogomolny National Service Award. Ms. Valente has also received a Grammy award for her recording of Arnold Schoenberg's Quartet No.2. She has been teaching at the YAP since 2007.
