That cataclysmic diagnosis drops like a bombshell into a man's life, paralyzing him. From Sudbury to Rhode Island, from a childhood swing set to the garden of a poet, this autofiction work is where poetry engages in merciless combat, in an unexpected realm.

Warmly received by the public during a staged reading at Zones Théâtrales in 2013, this first playscript by Alain Doom plunges the audience into the intimacy of a man in quest of himself. It was created by Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario, which presented II (deux) and Quand la mer… at the 2013 biennual.
