The multicultural Brazilian troupe is made up of young dancers led by classically trained choreographer Sonia Destri Lie, who deconstructs the thrilling kinetics of Rio de Janeiro street dance. Audacious, vigorous, vibrant – and highly inventive – the dancers seamlessly fuse together hip-hop, samba, capoeira, and contemporary dance. Their street-cred ferocity pumps with raw adrenaline and performances overflow with gritty, in-your-face physicality and heartfelt spirit to spare. Both set to pulsating scores by Brazilian composer Rodrigo Marçal, signature work ID: Entidades was inspired by the life stories of the company dancers, and Na Pista explores the joyful influence of pop culture and sizzling
